12th Annual Pie Party
April 12, 2015 @ 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm
This year is the 12th Annual Pie Party! What started as a party among friends who love pie and wanted to give back to community groups they wanted to support is now a community event hosted by the Food Conspiracy Co-op. The Pie Party is a part fundraiser, part pie contest and party all in one!
How it works: Bake a pie and donate it and it will be sold by the slice. Anyone wishing to donate pie will receive two pie tickets ($5 value). You can choose to enter the pie(s) to be judged in the following categories: fruit, cream, vegan, other, and wheat free. If you so choose, your pie or pies can also be donated and not judged.
There will be contest winners in all categories. The person who bakes and wins the “Best of Show” pie will select the nonprofit to receive half of the profits from the Pie Party. There will also be a “People’s Pie.” The People’s pie is a vote that everyone who buys a pie ticket gets to vote for the nonprofit of their choosing. The nonprofit with the most votes will win the other half.
If you know what pie you’d like to make and what you plan to enter into the contest, please submit the form below. It will help us to plan how much pie to expect. Please enter a form for each pie you submit. Thank you!
If you want to make a pie, but are intimidated by crust, we have a class for you! The Food Conspiracy Co-op is hosting a class on how to make pie crust with prior pie party contest winners Rachel Wilson and Lori Adkison! Please pre-register for the class here.
