Desert Harvesters Eat Mesquite and More Cookbook Author Event

Come sample recipes and listen to discussion and readings by contributors to this very literary local cookbook. Readers will include poet Ofelia Zepeda, and Desert Harvesters Barbara Rose, Jill Lorenzini, and Kimi Eisele.
Desert dwellers have long sustained themselves by foraging from the abundance of wild foods around them. From mesquite trees to prickly pear and other cacti, these recipes enhance the culinary wonders provided by the Sonoran desert.
