San Xavier Co-op Farm is located West of the Santa Cruz River and North of San Xavier Mission.  The San Xavier Co-op Association leases 1,700 from land allottees.  San Xavier produces chemical-free alfalfa hay, dry goods and traditional crops such as beans, corn, squash and peas.  UA Compost Cats, a student-run composting operation that aims to keep food and other organic materials out of local landfills and turn it into local soil fertility.  In 2013, UA Compost Cats moved their student-run compost operation to the farm in partnership with the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona.  More information go to  www.compostcats.com or www.sanxaviercoop.org/about-us Carpool from co-op at 8:00 a.m. Traditional meal of Bo:sol (Red Tepary beans, roasted corn kernel and grain), salad and mesquite cookie $9/per person. Or bring your own lunch.
